Q: Why are the dogs at the residence in Rumsey Park continuously barking? If the Payson Humane Society is cited for barking dogs, why isn't the owner (a town employee) cited for his barking dogs? Why isn't something being done about these dogs.
A: The Payson Humane Society has not been cited for barking dogs to the knowledge of Payson Police Department Lt. Don Engler. However, two complaints about the dogs at the residence in Rumsey Park have been investigated and resolved, he said. One of those, made by residents using the tennis courts, came to the police department indirectly through the Parks & Recreation Department.
"We've asked that group (the tennis players) to direct any future complaints to the police department," Engler said.
