Mr. Estess, it is the developers that want control of the Pine Water District. If the developers succeed in taking over the water companies, we will no longer be under the protection of the ACC.
Our rates could go sky high, our taxes could increase, but worst of all, the developers could build all the subdivisions that they so desire.
Under the rules of the ACC, no new water line extensions can be added to the Pine Water System unless the developer can produce enough water to support the new growth.
Do you know why that rule has been in existence for many years? Pine does not have a sufficient water supply for our existing homes.
I am a very concerned citizen,
Elizabeth D. Kelly, Pine
