Payson is such a wonderful place to live. We need to keep this wonderful community as viable as possible. We can only do that by electing public officials who care about preserving what we have, while at the same time carefully planning for the inevitable growth.
Payson has made wonderful strides in the few years we have lived here, including the library, college, and Green Valley Park. It seems that there has been opposition to all these, yet once they are accomplished, it is easy to see how our entire community benefits. We need to be sure that we elect folks who will continue preserving what we have, as well as the vision to plan for our future needs.
We believe that John Wilson, who is a town council candidate, would be able to do just that.
John brings to his campaign a lot of knowledge of Payson's past, and a deep commitment to its future.
John has lived here 12 years, and in Arizona for more than 50 years, and served as a volunteer and supporter of many local organizations.
He is a CPA with a vast knowledge of financial matters. He and his wife, Sue, have raised two grandchildren here and are aware of the needs of both the younger and the older citizens.
He is treasurer of our library and helped in planning and making the new library possible. He is a Rotarian, serves on his church's board, and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. He is a member of the Payson Focused Future Action Team, and served on the Payson General Plan Technical Advisory Committee.
All this experience and involvement in our community would allow him to "hit the ground running," and to be a most effective council member who would help us keep Payson such a great place.
We will be voting by mail only, so don't forget to send those ballots in before the March 9 deadline, and please consider voting for John Wilson, "A reasonable voice for Payson."
Bob and Wilma Dalby, Payson
