Earle Lee Gates


Earle Lee Gates, 72, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., died Feb. 2, 2004 at Biloxi Veterans Administration Hospital in Biloxi, Miss.

Mr. Gates was a faithful, Godly, loving husband, and father, as well as a business owner and farmer in Imperial Valley, Calif.

He served his country in the United States Army.

Mr. Gates retired to Payson, and went to ministry training in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Collins Gates of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; son, Richard Gates of Atascadero, Calif.; daughters, Kristian Gates of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Lisa Gates Bane of Payson and Lezley Gates Tevault of Portland, Ore.; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earle and Bernice Gates; and one grandchild, Joseph Bane.

Services were held Friday at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, Miss. where he received military honors.

Arrangements were handled by Marshall Funeral Home of Biloxi.
