Fighting For Freedom Is An Honorable Goal

Editor:

We are amazed that Dave Engleman can attack our president so vehemently and has nothing to say about the atrocities committed by Saddam Hussein. We know that Saddam had poison gas and used it to kill hundreds of thousands of his own people -- innocent men, women and children. Would he eventually have used it against us? Did he attack Iran? Yes. Did he attack Kuwait? Yes. Was Iraq a haven for terrorists? Yes. Did Saddam expel U.N. weapons inspectors? Yes.

Did the Clinton administration ever do anything to fight terrorism? No.

The Clinton administration spent more money fighting Microsoft in court than fighting terrorism.

The defense of freedom is an honorable goal for our country. Now we have a president who puts fighting terrorism at the top of his priority list.
