"A good thing to remember and a better thing to do, is to work with the construction gang and not the wrecking crew." (Author unknown)
With the impending election of three council members and a mayor, I believe Payson needs and deserves the best-qualified people available. George Barriger has proven that he has both the talents and desire to serve the residents of Payson.
The above quote is very apropos to George Barriger. Therefore, I am voting for George Barriger for town council, and urge other residents to support him as our best-qualified candidate.
A little more than two years ago, George Barriger and I were appointed to complete the unexpired terms of two departing members of the planning and zoning commission. During the past year, George Barriger has also served the commission as vice chairman.
This has provided me the opportunity to be involved first hand with how he works during the decision making process to ensure the citizens of Payson are represented fairly within the framework of the law, while never losing sight of the rights and needs of individuals. I have observed on many occasions where he has put aside his personal feelings about a situation and dealt with the facts while providing leadership to attain the proper and objective decision for the planning and zoning commission. Although his election to the town council will result in a loss to the P&Z efforts, there is no doubt in my mind that he will bring forth to the council an enhanced quality of leadership and decision making activities for the benefit of all residents of Payson. I know him to be a very fair and honest man, with a keen sense of dedication to the betterment of our community.
George Barriger utilizes those qualities that we so dearly desire and need in our public servants. Therefore, I urge you to please help elect George Barriger to be a council member for Payson.
