Wilson's Life Full Of Community Service

Editor:

I would like to endorse John Wilson as candidate for Payson Town Council.

For the past eight years, I have had the privilege of working closely with John and his wife Sue in the Library Friends of Payson. He has demonstrated the utmost integrity as our treasurer. He is a CPA with decades of experience and his meticulous guardianship of our funds helped us furnish our new library with state of the art equipment.

The public library is not the only benefactor of John's service, either -- not by a long shot. He is active in the Payson Area Habitat for Humanity, serves as a local Boy Scout Troop leader, is treasurer of the Rim Rotary Club, is a founding director of the Friends of Payson Parks and Recreation and is a member of the Payson Focused Future Action Team, to name just a few. It is obvious from his exemplary public service that he cares deeply for ALL our citizens.

Winston Churchill said: "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." John Wilson's life is a blueprint of community service. Now, we have the opportunity to place this estimable man on our town council. I urge everyone to get to know John better and see where he stands on the important issues facing us. We can trust him to do what is best for our future.
