The Pine Medical Clinic is open once again and busy taking care of all sorts of medical needs for the people of Pine and Strawberry. I was just there for my once-every-half-century tetanus shot. It is a wonderful clinic.

The people are great and very caring. Dr. Lisa York is the physician, very ably assisted by nurse Cindy Gramm.

Sam Chester runs the front desk and could really use some volunteer help with filing and such. Please call her if you can help a few hours a week or any set schedule. She will train you but any filing skills are welcomed.

Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A new service that is being provided by the clinic is prescription delivery. The Apothecary Shop in Payson will fill your prescriptions and deliver them to the Pine Medical Clinic where you can pick them up. Drop your new prescriptions off at the medical center and they will order them for you and get them delivered.

Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras Celebration sponsored by Strawberry's Elite is at the Black Bear Restaurant in Strawberry from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22. This is one of the big fund-raising efforts for this group which helps children and families in Pine and Strawberry. The food is great and the party is fun. Trouble in Paradise will entertain. Tickets are available at the door for $10.

Any local crafters who are interested in having a booth at the Strawberry Festival should call Pat at the Rim County Regional Chamber of Commerce in Payson, (928) 474-4515 or e-mail her at chamber@npgcable.com for an application. The spaces fill up quickly and we love having local people.

I will be out of town for my next deadline so please e-mail me with information. I will not be near my fax machine. Thanks.
