Annabelle's Has Something For Everyone

Annabelle's Antiques Accents and Accessories has wonderful combination of antique and modern pieces to make decorating a delight.

"We have different merchandise to try to appeal to everybody," owner Kathy Fugate said. "When people buy an antique, they often want to buy accessories to match."

An enticing collection of antiques and new items complementing the older pieces awaits visitors to Annabelle's Antiques Accents and Accessories. The shop is located at 6264 W. Hardscrabble Road in Pine.

So, in addition to a wide collection of antique pieces, the shopper at Annabelle's, at 6264 Hardscrabble Road, Pine, will find new things as well.

"We try to keep our prices affordable," Fugate said. "We also try to buy things we like and feel other people will like them too. It's fun to please people that way."

The 2,000-square-foot shop features 10 dealers, plus a number of consigned pieces as well. There also is room for more, Fugate said. The dealers with space at Annabelle's are Ruth Nimtz, Sherrill Nutter, Pat Miller, Lucy Kinnunen, Sue Howell, Phylis Bartell, Barb Solem, Sheila Callaway and Linda Walker.

If what a shopper is looking for isn't in the store, she will try to find it for them.

While Annabelle's opened Aug. 1, 2003, Fugate is not new to the antiques trade. A resident of Payson since 1986, she has had another shop of her own, plus worked at many of the antique stores in the Rim country.

The shop in Pine has special sentimental value though. It is named after the owner's mother, Anna Marie, and a pet rabbit, which also was named for Fugate's mother.

"Getting to meet new and fun people is a special thing," she said. "Having something for everyone is a challenge too."

Ruth Nimtz and Patsy Lawson help Fugate run Annabelle's Antiques Accents & Accessories.

The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.
