After viewing "The Passion" with the vivid depiction of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, it became apparent that questions would arise as to "Who killed Christ."
Was it the Jewish religious leaders who said, "His blood be on us and our children!" (Matthew 27:25).as it the Roman bureaucrat named Pilate who signed the death penalty while admitting "I find no fault in this man!" (Luke 23:4) or the Gentile soldiers who treated him like a criminal and took pleasure in His suffering (Matthew 27:27 -- 31)?
I submit that eachad a major role in the execution of a prophecy that was written about 740 years before the birth of Jesus Christ by a prophet named Isaiah in the 53rd chapter for one of many examples in the Bible.
Please consider the following:
We do not hear about the wrath of God today in our churches, and howod looks at our own sins and iniquities, which "The Passion" brings to the forefront in full color on the "big screen."he future was etched as far back as Genesis when man submitted himself to the works of the "evil one" and obtained the "curse of God" because man did not obey theirst command at the time, "to leave the fruit alone on one specific tree."
Dr. Peter Marshall wrote, "When we are honest with ourselves, we know that we were there too and that we helped to put Christ there.ecause every attitude present on that hilltop that day is present with us now.very emotion that tugged at human hearts then, tugs at human hearts still.very human being was represented at Calvary, every sin was in a nail, or the spear, or the needle-like thorns, and the pardon for them all was in the blood that was shed."
So to answer the question of "who killed Christ?"he answer is: "We all were responsible for the suffering during the crucifixion."
On the other hand, the Son of Godid not diey any of the afflictions during that horrendous time, as Matthew 27: 50ays, "Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost."e died of a "broken heart" as is proved when the soldiers pierced his side and "water and blood" came forth.sk any first year medical student those symptoms, and he will tell you His heart exploded for you and me.John 3:16)
