No One Took Jesus' Life

There's a lot of controversy over the Passion movie now showing. I think Spud Henry did a good job explaining that the Romans, not the Jews, actually crucified Jesus. This is not an "anti-Jew" movie.

One thing we do need to remember is that this crucifixion was a fulfillment of prophecy and God's plan. Nothing could prevent what happened; it was God's plan of Salvation being fulfilled.

If you read the Bible, you know that Jesus tried to prepare his disciples for His death. He told them before He entered Jerusalem on what we call Palm Sunday that He would die and be resurrected, but they did not understand.

At the Last Supper, he instructed Judas to do what had to be done. As he prayed in the Garden in Gethsemane, He was willing to do what had to be done.

The point is: No one took Jesus' life! He gave His life for all ... including myself! John 3:16
