Looking For Acts Of Kindness

The holidays are over and hopefully we all survived. This brand new year is here but it will take a while before writing 2004 will come naturally.

This is the time to set goals and make plans for the coming year. There are many great organizations in Pine and Strawberry that welcome new members and volunteers. In the next few weeks I will provide a comprehensive list of these groups and give phone numbers. Any organizations wanting to be included in this list who are not already on my list should provide me with the information either by e-mail or phone.

Many great magical acts of kindness took place during the holiday season by the wonderful people and organizations of Pine and Strawberry. I know about some but I thought it might be nice to devote a column to telling about them. Let me know what your organization did in order to be included.

Looking Glass Books is beginning a series of classes -- The Artist's Way. This class corresponds to a book written by Julia Cameron. It is a powerful program for aspiring artists, writers, musicians, other creative sorts or those who need a little inspiration to get the creative juices flowing with new vigor. The class runs for 12 weeks and will meet on Thursday at 6 p.m. Classes begin on Jan. 8. Pre-register by calling (928) 476-4711.

If you want your activities listed in this column, please provide the information to me at the following addresses. Phone or fax at 476-2239 or e-mail cpwrather@earthlink.net.
