Four Payson area residents have joined the board of directors of the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Joining the board are Kevin Dick, Diane Enos, John Peel and Chris Wolf. The four were voted in by the chamber membership Dec. 16.
Kevin Dick, Edward Jones
Kevin Dick is the investment representative with the Payson Edward Jones office. He's been with the company for seven years, serving in Ahwatukee before recently relocating to Payson.
He sits on the firm's regional management team and trains new financial professionals.
"I carry a leadership role with my firm," Dick said of his strengths. "I am a mentor, a mentor trainer and a new broker support specialist.
"I work with the firm's strategy team assessing performance and how to improve it.
"I think I will be able to help in a management role, possibly serving as a mediator and a resource for financial questions.
"The most honest answer is I will have to wait and see where I can help the best."
Dick specializes in managing investments for individual families and small businesses. He also presents educational programs and manages 401(k) accounts for companies such as Kinetics Chempure, Valley Limousine and Van O'Steen and Partners.
He was born and raised in Arizona and is a third generation native of the state. He attended Arizona State University and currently sits on its Dean's Board of Excellence and volunteers as a mentor to the ASU Honors Program through the W.P. Carey School of Business.
Dick said he was very involved in the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce and before going to work for Edward Jones was with a Fortune 500 company.
He and his wife are expecting their first child.
Diane Enos, PostNet
Diane Enos, and her husband, Ed, are the owners of Postnet, located in Ponderosa Village (the Safeway shopping center). She has made her home here for three years, coming from Albuquerque, N.M. where she was a district manager with ARAMARK, a contract management company.
"After unofficially working with the chamber for a number of years, I'm looking forward to playing an official role as a member of the board," Enos said.
She and her husband bought Postnet in October 2001. Postnet is a postal and business service center providing laser color copy services, large format copies, black and white copies, mail box rentals, printing and desktop publishing services. Its shipping services include the U.S. Postal Service, United Parcel Service and Federal Express.
The business became a member of the chamber when the couple purchased Postnet. Her "unofficial" work with chamber activities has included ribbon-cutting events and the design, layout and printing of the monthly newsletter.
John Peel, Certified Public Accountant
John Peel has lived in Pine since 1995 and operates a certified public accounting firm there.
He has more than 35 years experience in auditing, accounting, tax preparing and consulting. His clients have included both businesses and nonprofit organizations and governmental entities.
"The strengths I will bring to the board will be my financial background for nonprofit organizations and the ability to forecast and plan for the future financial needs of the chamber," Peel said.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in accounting, from the University of South Florida. He is currently involved in a number of area organizations: the Northern Gila County Historical Society, Payson Art League, Payson Men's Golf Association, Take Pride Project in Pine and Strawberry, Pine Strawberry Health Services, and The Golf Club of Chaparral Pines, as well as being a member of the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce. He is also affiliated with the Arrowhead Wildlife Society and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accounts.
Chris Wolf, Payson Regional Medical Center
Chris Wolf is the chief executive officer of the Payson Regional Medical Center, a post he has held since October 2002. He has been with PRMC's parent company, Community Health Systems for 10 years as a CEO.
"I hope to bring a fresh set of eyes (to the board) for looking for opportunities for business development and for growth and outreach from the hospital to our community," Wolf said. "I want to better understand the community's needs regarding health care and I hope my chamber board position will assist me in that."
Wolf and his family came to Payson from Bullhead City where he was that hospital's associate CEO for two years.
Originally from an Oklahoma family of medical people, he is a graduate of Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colo. and an associate member of the America College of Healthcare Executives.
He serves on the board of the Gila Foundation for Higher Education and is an active member of St. Philips Catholic Church.
He and his wife, Mary, along with their children, Alan, 14, and Jenna, 10, enjoy outdoor activities including boating, fly fishing, hunting and riding ATVs.
The four new members of the board of directors of the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce began their terms in office on Jan. 1, 2004. Dick, Enos, Peel and Wolf will remain in office until Dec. 31, 2006.
Joining the new faces at the camber is executive director Tina Bruess, who started Jan. 5.
