Payson Police Officer Billy Hoffman was on his way to a call in his Chevy Impala when he got stuck in the wash on West Forest Drive.
Lt. Don Engler said Hoffman was pulled out by Detectives John Huffman and Jason Hazelo in their Chevy Blazer. Video by Kurt Easton.
According to the Flagstaff Office of the National Weather Service, Payson has received 4.45 inches rain since July 14 - twice the average for the month of July. More rain is in the forecast.
