Aspiring tennis players of all ages are tuning up their playing skills under the tutelage of local teaching pro Diane Jackson.
Each Tuesday and Thursday morning since June 1, Jackson has taught three groups of youngsters the nuances of tennis.
Lessons will continue until June 17.
For the lessons, Jackson aligned the youngsters into age groups of 6-to-8-year olds, 9-to-10-year-olds and 12 and over.
The two older groups are filled to the capacity of eight youngsters each. The younger division has six students.
In the evenings, Jackson instructs two adult divisions -- beginners and intermediates.
The intermediate lessons drew a maximum of eight students and the beginners had six.
In the two youngest age groups, Jackson teaches basic tennis skills including forehand, backhand, volley and serve.
With the older groups she teaches the basics skills as well as the overhead hit, rules, scoring and court etiquette.
Classes wrap up June 17.
