Noise Can Be Found Throughout Town

I, like many others of our local citizens, have been following the controversy over the decibel levels in the vicinity of the airport.

Your June 4 edition quotes Mr. Hill as stating that "You signed an acknowledgment when you bought your property, that there were certain nuisances extant, or possible in the future."

I can't vouch for the accuracy of that, but I do know that most of the retirees I know, didn't sign on to accept the noise created by the cars, trucks and motorcycles that speed past our front yards. There are many of these vehicles throughout the town that have little or no mufflers, and who seem to delight in making as much noise as they can. I don't have a decibel meter, but I would wager that quite a few of these exceed 75 dBs.
