Channel 12 picked up on the Dick Reese badge flashing that became a front page headline. One has to wonder how this incident became worthy of a major TV channel coverage. While supermarket tabloids make a lot of money out of their editorial posture, many of us expect more from our family print media. A little bit of information blown out of proportion should be deserving of higher journalistic standards.
Given the awards the Payson Roundup receives for matters judged important by its peers, one might expect the Roundup to be consistently deserving of such awards.
Sometimes that is not the case.
It is unfortunate that Channel 12 chose to follow suit.
