Msa Benefit Expected To Set New High

About 30 members of the Mogollon Sporting Association are gearing up for what past president Jack Koon predicts will be the most festive banquet the organization has hosted.

"We already have over 70 firearms and bows," Koon said.

Those items, along with a long list of other donations, will be auctioned, raffled or given away as door prizes at the MSA's annual banquet May 1 at Mazatzal Casino.

The 12th annual MSA banquet begins at 5 p.m. with a no-host cocktail hour. At 6 p.m., a filet mignon steak or chicken dinner will be served.

The fun traditionally reaches a pinnacle about 7 p.m. when master of ceremony Will E. Dietz begins the raffles and give-a-ways.

Tickets are $70 per person and may be purchased by calling MSA president Judy Baker at (928) 472-2588, or Koon at (928) 474-1662.

Seating is limited to about 240, so Koon advises people to buy their tickets early.
