The Passion of the Christ is a good film, which is apparently acceptable to most Christians; and it is faithful to the observations of the New Testament writers.
Most Christians accepted holocaust films, such as Schindler's List; and, unfortunately, they passively accept Hollywood's glamorizing of adultery, fornication, violent crime, homosexuality, etc.
But, the liberals, atheists, Hollywood, and the Jews won't stop hounding and vilifying Mel Gibson. They have even called Sister Ann Emmerich (1774-1824) a Nazi! (Some of the non-biblical scenes were taken from her work.)
Gibson was just another actor, in my sight, until now. I now believe him to be a very brave person to proceed with this film, despite the threats to his career and life.
