It's A Fight To Get Medical Care

Since I moved to Payson only six months ago, my judgment about the medical establishment may be premature. Making an appointment begins with the receptionist or nurse asking about my medical insurance. Fair enough, but I'm person non grata with no medical insurance, pending Medicare insurance in one month. I've always had insurance until I retired here. Of the five medical doctors' offices I called, none would make an appointment, let alone ask why I called. The whole process is Catch 22. My assurance that I would pay in advance meant nothing. My question is simple, are your physicians governed by the Hippocratic oath, or the hypocritical oath?

I have also found out that Payson is not a qualified area for Medicare-HMO. Nor are Payson residents allowed to join Medicare-HMOs in the Valley.
