Marge Landra also was a recipient of closest-to-the-pin cash. Her shot on No. 17 was 21 feet, 10 inches shy of the flag
The closest-to-the-pin honors was Landra's second this month. In an odd-or-even formatted tournament played a week earlier, Landra won the honors after her shot on No. 5 landed 22 feet, 7 inches from the pin
On the championship team with Burns in the scramble tournament were Judy Neal, Alesha Calderwood and Wilma Smith. The four tallied a 74.
In the battle for the silver medal, the foursome of Joyce Karnes, Mary Cain, Joyce Goff and Brenda Baker tied a team comprise of Laura Meyocks, Sharon Vaplon, Dorothy Meek and Billie Gibbs. Both teams finished with a 77.
