Q: We signed up to be placed on the do-not-call list last year. Why doesn't that apply to all these politicians who called during the campaign?

A: According to information on the National Do Not Call Registry, Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission jurisdiction limitations allow calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or to those whom you've provided express agreement in writing.
