Package Project Serving Soldiers

Soldiers serving overseas have been receiving expressions of love, appreciation and reminders of home.

Spearheaded by its seniors ministry, Crossroads of Payson is mailing gift boxes to military personnel in the Middle East. Included in the parcels are toiletries, hygiene products, dental supplies, candy, socks, writing materials, condiments, small entertainment items, beef jerky and snacks.

Crossroads of Payson members are sending gift boxes to U.S. military personnel in the Middle East.

The group has assembled boxes for 23 soldiers, and another 11 are in the works.

Anyone who has the name and complete mailing address for a service person may call (928) 474-1585 to have a package mailed. Gifts go out on a first-listed, first-served basis.

Most packages measure 6-by-6-by-7-inches, and cost approximately $9 to mail.

Fund-raising activities are being planned to help the crew continue to assemble and send appreciation gifts to our troops. Persons wanting to participate in assembling the boxes or contributing funds should call the above number.
