Q: I have heard a round-about turning system is going to be built at Houston Mesa Road and Highway 87. Is this true and how will that make that stretch of road safer?
A: LaRon Garrett, engineer for the Payson Public Works Department, said the round-about is being built at Tyler Parkway for traffic control going in and out of Home Depot. This is a whole new concept the state is looking at, he said. "It moves traffic much better than a signal light and reduces the number of accidents, especially the number of serious accidents."
