Christopher Creek Loses Hart To Buffalo

Don't forget the going away party for Candy Hart who is moving back to Buffalo, N.Y. to be with her family. The party starts at 8 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 13, at Creekside.

Come out and wish her well and have a good time with an old friend, Dennis Louchard, who will play music for this very special event.

The annual fall clean up for the Christopher Creek Homeowners Association is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 20. Please have your leaves and pine needles bagged. A dumpster will be provided for disposing of them. No garbage allowed. Volunteers also are needed. Call (928) 478-5066 if you can help.

Late wishes

I know I am getting old and forgetful. I forgot November's birthdays last week and a few are now belated and for that I apologize.

Pastor Ed Hepworth had a birthday Nov. 9; Al Dale and Jim Wheeler celebrated theirs Nov. 10; and Jessie Wynn's was Nov. 11. I hope you all had a great birthday.

The rest of Christopher Creek residents celebrating birthday's this month are Pat Oliver and Larry Boesling (Nov. 13); Kyle Gourdoux (Nov. 14); Chuck Salomon (Nov. 19); Marion Hunter (Nov. 20); Christopher Purtee and Bob Quay (Nov. 22); Michelle Grundy (Nov. 24); Stan Szczepanski (Nov. 27); Robert Jones, Dorothy Sagert, Pam Christian and Debbie Dawson (Nov. 28). Wishing all of you a very happy birthday.

Holiday highway decorations

The Christopher Creek Homeowners Association will be decorating the highway for the holidays at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20. If you would like to help, show up at the fire station. There will be a chili potluck at noon.

The association is trying to get more people involved this year. Families who would like to decorate can call President Dave Ezell at any time and he will show you where to decorate and give you lights or displays. If you do a section, you can put yours or your family's name in front of it. It will be your display to take care of. Give Dave a call at (928) 478-5066 and tell him when you can help.

Let's try and make this year better than ever. Let's get involved and light up Christopher Creek. Lights will be turned on Thanksgiving night until Jan. 2.

The Christopher/Kohl's & Fire Bells Annual Christmas Party and Potluck will take place at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 at Station 51 in Christopher Creek. Bring your favorite dish to share and a $10 gift per person for a night of fun, friends and good food. Call Viki at (928) 478-4654 or Penny at (928) 478-4404 and let them know what you will be bringing in the line of a potluck.
