Anniversaries Promote Business, Chamber Says

As 2004 comes to a close, many area businesses are making plans for 2005. The Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce recommends an anniversary celebration in those plans.

"You're going to have an anniversary anyway, so you might as well use it to your advantage," Tina Bruess, executive director of the chamber, said. "It's your one special day to get some attention for your business, don't pass it up. Never pass up an opportunity to shamelessly self-promote."

An anniversary can be used in retail as well as mail order and business-to-business companies, she said. An event is a way to reward loyal customers, but its success depends on who those people are.

Bruess said the chamber staff is available to help Rim country businesses plan their anniversary celebrations. Give the chamber a call at (928) 474-4515.
