Jimmy and Lauree Lee Connolly of Payson announce the engagement of their son, Craig Connolly, to Catherine Barney, daughter of Russ and Carol Barney of Safford, Ariz.
The groom-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Payson High School, served a two-year church mission in New Jersey, and is currently a pre-med student at Eastern Arizona College.
The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Safford High School and will be graduating from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in May 2005.
A Dec. 31, 2004 wedding is planned in the Mesa Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A reception will follow in Safford Jan. 1, 2005.
The newlyweds will be honored at a reception in Payson Jan. 8, 2005 after which they will make their home in Thatcher, Ariz.
