Tellabration Celebration Nov. 20

It is impossible to believe that next week is Thanksgiving. And then it is December. I wish time could just slow down for a little while. There is so much going on around our communities and so little time.

Tellabration, that wonderful night of storytelling, will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, in the Pine Community Center Cultural Hall. Tickets are $5 and are available at the Pine Museum or at the door.

This year's event features Don Doyle, Buckshot Dot (Dee Strickland Johnson) from Payson, and Valley storytellers Liz Warren, Nancy Wolter, Dennis Freeman and Layne Gneiting. Tellabration is not an event for young children, but older children and adults of all ages will be wonderfully entertained.

Incidentally, I just had my woodstove checked and found that the stack is to the point of being dangerous. Do make sure your heating systems, whatever they might be, are serviced and ready for the cold days and nights ahead. There is nothing better than a toasty fire, but it must be a safe fire.
