Boycott Stamp

Editor:

Recently, I received an e-mail regarding a new stamp the United States Postal Service is offering. This stamp is honoring the Muslim holiday season and, yes, during our Christmas season. I really had my doubts about this e-mail being authentic, so I went to the post office for verification. I was told that yes, it is true and that they cannot discriminate.

At this point, I needed to get some terrorist actions put in chronological order for myself. I remember, like most Americans, Pan Am Flight 103; the World Trade Center, 1993; the Muslim bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon, the Muslim bombing of the American embassies in Africa, the Muslim bombing of the military barracks in Saudi Arabia; the USS Cole; and the Twin Towers. And now, we are supposed to buy this stamp this Christmas season to honor the Muslim holiday. Pretty absurd? I certainly think so!

To buy this stamp would indeed be a slap in the face to all those Americans who have died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors. When are we going to say, "Enough is enough?" All Americans should boycott this stamp.
