The Gila County Department of Health has received a limited supply of flu vaccine for adults and children 6 months through 18 years of age.
Flu Clinic schedule, 2004:
Dec. 2, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Young Public School
Dec. 7, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Payson Health Department, 107 W. Frontier St., Suite A, Payson
Dec. 14, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tonto Basin School
Dec. 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Roosevelt Estates Community Center
The following individuals are eligible to receive the flu vaccine.
- Individuals 65 years of age or older
- Individuals under 65 years of age with long-term health problems affecting the heart, lungs, or immune system
- Individuals under 65 years of age with diabetes
- Pregnant women
- Children 6 months through 18 years of age
Residents who have Medicare Part B and no supplemental insurance should bring their Medicare Part B card and Medicare will be billed. The cost for the vaccine is $20 for those without Medicare Part B. There is no charge for children 6 months through 18 years of age.
