Q: Why wasn't the girl who caused the accident that forced the truck into the Mount Cross Lutheran Church tested for drugs or alcohol?

A: Sgt. Tom Tieman of the Payson Police Department said because the girl is a juvenile, no information can be released about her -- or any juvenile involved in an investigation. However, he added, that whenever there is an accident like the truck crashing into the church, the department always checks for impairment.

Tieman said the case has been closed to his knowledge.

Q: For several years Payson has not had any Christmas decorations. Why can't we have the town put up something for the holiday?

A: There are decorations on Main Street and the town's Christmas Tree lighting ceremony will take place as part of the Dec. 4 Main Street/APS Electric Light Parade. Main Street Project Manager Carol McCauley said there are plans for her program to purchase additional decorations for Green Valley Park in the future to enhance the community's traditional holiday celebration.
