Charles LeRoy Longenbaugh, 70, of Payson, died Oct. 10, 2004 in Payson. He was born Jan. 23, 1934 in Albuquerque, N.M.
Mr. Longenbaugh was a retired civil engineer, a U.S. Marine, Veterans of Foreign Wars commander, American Legion past commander, member of the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge, and he was active in military celebrations at the local, state and national level.
Survivors include his wife, Jeri Ann Longenbaugh of Payson; daughter, Cindy Longenbaugh of Albuquerque, N.M., sons, Mark Longenbaugh of El Paso, Texas and Randy Longenbaugh of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepdaughters, Linda McEven, Diane Mendell-Mereno and Laura Ubanks, all of Payson; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a younger brother.
A viewing will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at the American Legion Hall, Post #69.
