Bill Fogle made a successful write-in bid for the Republican nomination for Gila County District 3 Supervisor. He brings a law enforcement background to the race.
Fogle, 55, has worked for both the Phoenix Police Department and the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
He now builds, owns and manages rental property in Gila County. Fogle said his experience in business would greatly affect his style of management.
"I have a strong appreciation for business, and I intend to run Gila County like a business," he said.
Fogle said he would meet other government representatives to build a strong economic development plan and attract new business to the area.
"People here deserve more than what they have," he said. "I've talked to people, especially young folks, and they don't want their children to have to leave their hometown to go to school or look for employment. I think we can do something about that."
His other ideas include seeking funds to improve health services, coordinating better communication between fire and police departments, maintaining the road between Young and Highway 260 and keeping property taxes down.
