Dorothy Louise (Dottie Lou) Luke, 72, died Sept. 2, 2004. She was born May 13, 1932 in Monterey Park, Calif.
Mrs. Luke had many talents and much love that she used to bless the lives of her family and others. She devoted much time in humanitarian service. She was well known for her many years of loving care for her special grandson, Larry Vickrey, who was born severely disabled.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; daughters, Lu Anne (Ward) Mace of Juneau, Alaska, Linda Stapley of Mesa, and Julie (Tom) Curtis of Florence; sons, James (Jody) Berry of Oakley, Calif., Ted (Patti Jo) Luke of Colleyville, Texas, David (Lee-Ann) Luke of Gilbert, John (Jennifer) Luke of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Major Steven (Amy) Luke of Stuttgart, Germany. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Aero and Ponderosa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at 9 a.m., at the church.
