On behalf of all dog lovers, I would like to respond to letter writer Ed Taves of Payson (Aug. 27 Roundup) who wrote "If Grant Kuenzli had not broken the law."
What law, Mr. Taves?
Mr. Kuenzli was perfectly lawful playing with his dogs in a national forest. The leash law the national forest has applies to national forest campgrounds, and "Pets on Leash" signs are well-posted in the campgrounds.
Any citizen has a right to walk or play with unleashed dogs in the national forest.
Harold Fish broke the law. He killed an unarmed man.
