What's Up: With Home Depot And Their Water Use?

Q: Home Depot is coming, that's great, but they'll bring a lot more toilet flushing, plus they will have garden center that uses a lot of water. They can water, but we can't?

A: Payson Public Works Director Buzz Walker said Home Depot must use water efficient systems throughout the store, including low-flow toilets and waterless urinals, in order to minimize usage. He said they have agreed to eliminate their equipment wash rack to meet water use concerns.
"They fit under the water use limits for that property," Walker said.
The approved water use for the building site is 150,000 gallons per month, Home Depot will probably use only 90,000 gallons a month, Walker said.
