Women's Financial Seminar Slated

Women in all stages of life need the knowledge and tools to take care of financial questions and concerns.

To help the women of the Rim country, Paul Pfeifer, investment representative with Edward Jones, is hosting an educational opportunity featuring basic financial information. The seminar is based on the book, "Smart Women Finish Rich." The program will be presented by David Wynn, certified financial planner and regional vice president of the Van Kampen financial firm.

Wynn was trained to present the "Smart Women" seminars by the book's author, David Bach. This book, and two others by Bach, "Smart Couples Finish Rich" and "The Automatic Millionaire" have appeared on national bestseller lists that include Business Week, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal.

He has also made numerous television appearances on such programs at the Today Show, the Early Show, The View, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox News and many more. His work has appeared in a number of newspapers and magazines.

The seminar is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30 at the Best Western Payson Inn, 801 N. Beeline Highway. Offered free of charge, everyone attending will be given a 24-page financial workbook to help organize their finances and plan their values, goals and dreams. Seating is limited.

The goal of the seminar is to provide those participating with seven steps to help plan for financial security and seek their dreams. Among the material to be covered in the seminar:

  • Put your money where your values are;
  • Figure out where you stand financially;
  • Discover the "Power of the Latte Factor;"
  • Build financial "baskets" for your retirement, your security and your dreams.
