Residents Should Help Out

Responding to the "What's Up" question about the weeds in Payson North and why the town hasn't done anything about it. Why can't the residents help out? It's our property, too. A simple weed eater and 15 to 30 minutes will do the trick in most cases. And for those of us who have the ability and live near a neighbor who doesn't (elderly or otherwise), do their weeds.

Why do we always have to wait for the town to do it for us? Have pride of ownership.

Who knows, you might even, (God forbid) meet your neighbor and sit down and have a cup of coffee with them.

I did and I now take care of my next door neighbors' yard while they are away simply by watering two trees once a week and picking up stray trash and limbs that fall.

We live here, not the town. Yes I pay taxes, but I'd rather spend a little time doing it myself, getting some exercise in the fresh air, meeting my wonderful neighbors, and having pride in a job well done.

Get off your easy chairs Payson North!
