Kevin Mystrom, owner of the Landmark, has put together a time capsule. It will be buried behind the Landmark next week. If you have something you would like to put in it, you will need to get it to him this week.
The time capsule is a 55-gallon drum that they are filling with memorabilia from the area. For example it has the plans from the Christopher Creek bypass, photos old and new of Christopher Creek and surrounding areas, Candy Hart's cowboy hat, and a 40-year-old troll from Power Webb, along with many more items of interest to the area. You will need to put your items in a baggie with the name and date on it. In 10 years, there will be a celebration and they will dig up the time capsule.
The Christopher Creek Fall Festival will be Oct. 16 and 17. They need crafters and vendors.
Call Kevin or Liana at the Landmark if you are interested, (928) 478-4472. They will have live music, beer-butt-chicken, bratwurst, and Kevin's famous chicken dance.
The Landmark will have its Annual Garage Sale this Saturday the 25th. If you are interested call (928) 478-4472. It is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and there is a $5 donation for the Christopher/Kohl's Fire Department. Those who set up will get free coffee and donuts. It's time to clean out your garage.
Winners of the ladies nine-ball at the Landmark this Tuesday are Annie Clark (first place); Candy Hart (second), and Michelle Grundy (third). Congratulations Ladies.
Ladies, mark your calendar.
