Pilar ("Pearl") Auseré Skillman, 91, died April 4, 2005 in Payson. She was born July 23, 1913 in Miami, Ariz., the second of six children to Jose and Josefa Auseré.
Her parents emigrated from Navasa, Spain in 1911.
Mrs. Skillman married Edgar H. Skillman on July 17, 1973 in the Mesa, Ariz. temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Prior to this marriage, Mrs. Skillman was married to Charles Senseney, Eddie Wingfield and Tony Johnson.
The Skillmans lived in Payson from 1979 through 2001.
Mrs. Skillman joined the Latter-day Saints church in 1961 where she remained an active member.
She is survived by her husband, Ed; her children, John Senseney of Sedona and Carole (Senseney) Spears of Tonto Basin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Joe M. ("Bud") Auseré, of Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Skillman was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura (Wingfield) Dana.
Funeral services were held this morning at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 913 S. Ponderosa St. in Payson, under the direction of Stake President James Hollobaugh.
