Call The Specialist For Computer Problems

Computers are terrific tools. But when there's a problem with one, it can be tremendously trying. That's when to call Computer Problem Specialists, LLC.

Daniel Taft grew up around computers -- his mother was a programmer -- and he started working in the computer repair business when he was only 19.

Daniel Taft's work with computer problems is almost second nature now. He first started using computers at the age of 9. The 40-year-old went into the computer repair and service business at 19 and has now brought that business to Payson.

"I went way beyond nerd a long time ago," Taft said.

He opened Computer Problem Specialists in Payson about eight months ago.

Taft said he was around 8 when he first started using computers. He has a degree in computer science, network administration, and has worked for several repair and service companies in the Valley, such as Data Doctors and provided desktop support for businesses like GE and Honeywell.

About 90 percent of his business is solving problems and providing services for in-home computers, he said.

"(Clients) make me feel like a hero with all their gratitude," he said. That gratitude also gets him two to three more clients just about every week by word-of-mouth.

He gives free computer check ups and for in-home computers, the fee for his repair work will never exceed $150, he said. Rates for businesses vary.

Taft offers a warranty on his work -- if there are still problems after he has worked on a computer, either to repair or upgrade it, the fee paid by the client will be put toward to construction of a new computer, Taft said. In addition to repairs and service, he also custom designs and builds computer systems, both new and used. It is not a large part of his business, but it is something he is willing to do.
