Jean E. Knox, 84, of Payson, died April 13, 2005. She died at the Payson Care Center after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born Aug. 23, 1920 in Jackson, Mich.
Mrs. Knox is survived by her daughters, Norma Jean (Joe) Scibetta and Marcia K. Overley; grandchildren, Michael J. (Darcy) Scibetta, Julianne (Rick) Martin, Marci Jo Kirk, Abigail (Ron) Soley, Garth (Denise) Overley and Ashley Ann Overley; 15 great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jayson Kirk, Megan and Jessica Wright, Lucas Soley, Delanie and Zane Overley, Kira and Skyler Robinson, Tyler, Travis, Tanner, Tatum, Tierra and Trenton Scibetta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Clay; her parents, Oscar and Lizzie Christensen; sister, Doris Coolbaugh; and son-in-law, Gail Overley.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 18 at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr. in Mesa, with Pastor Carl Weide officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
