Charles William Rutledge, 86, of Payson, died April 19, 2005. He was born Oct. 11, 1918 in Herman, Neb.
Mr. Rutledge was a retired lieutenant colonel, serving 27 years with the U.S. Air Force, and as a pilot with FAA for 12 years.
He moved to Payson in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen R. Rutledge; sons, Charles Stanley (Meriam) Rutledge of Rome, and Timothy R. (Karen) Schofield of Rye Creek, Ariz.; grandchildren, Rex, Ally and Kay (Rolando); and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine; four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday, April 23, with the funeral service at 10 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 511 S. St. Phillips St. in Payson. Interment will be at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park.
