On April 16, Officer Mike Varga moderated a program to inform the public about drugs, identity theft, domestic violence and DUI. Representatives from the county attorney's office, Drug Enforcement and Time Out were there to alert our citizens on the happenings in our town and community. The program was very enlightening, to say the least. Unfortunately, only about five or six attended. While Officer Varga was not disillusioned by the small turnout, I feel that there was time and effort expended in order to put this together.
I applaud Mike and the Payson Police Department for trying to keep citizens informed, and only hope that this small turnout does not discourage them. You missed a very informative day.
