Jeanne Elizabeth Sward Thebado, of Woodstock, Conn., died April 22, 2005 after a brief illness. She was born July 26, 1932 in New Ulm, Minn.
Mrs. Thebado graduated from Loretta Heights College in 1954 in Denver, Colo., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. She married James Henry Thebado June 30, 1954. The Thebados lived in Springfield, Minn., relocated to Scottsdale, Ariz. in 1982 and moved to Woodstock, Conn. in 2003.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, James H. Thebado; five children and their families, Janis and Jeffrey Beltis and their sons, Spencer and Garrett of
Putnam, Conn.; Joan and Rick Beltis and their children, Allison and Andrew of Dedham, Mass.; Judy Thebado of Woodstock; Jeff Thebado of Thompson, Conn,; and Jerry Thebado of Payson. She also is survived by her goddaughter, Jeanne McManus of New Hope, Minn.; and many friends and family around the country.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ottilia Sward of Springfield, Minn.
Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, April 24, at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., Putnam, Conn.. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial Monday, April 25 at 11 a.m. in Most Holy Trinity Church, Route 169 and 44, Pomfret, Conn. Burial will be private.
