Globe Jury Duty A Hardship

Editor:

Being chosen for jury duty is a hardship on those who live in Payson and have to drive to Globe. Transportation should be provided. (Phoenix residents get free bus tickets).

Providing free transportation would encourage more people to do their civic duty. Cost for the transportation would be offset by mileage allowances now offered prospective jurors who drive to Globe.

Moving the courthouse to Payson, where most of the county residents live, would be more appropriate. Why not have a satellite courthouse in Payson if moving the existing court is not possible?

Editor's note: The county complex across from the post office has both a Justice and Superior Court.
