Q: What's the plan to deal with the algae at Green Valley Park lakes? Seems kind of dangerous ... if a child fell in there, you wouldn't be able to see him.
A: "We treated the lakes with a copper-based product right before the Fourth of July. If you look at it now, most of the algae is gone. This year we had a lot of storm water run off because of the rain and that brought nutrients into the lake that we couldn't combat with the biological product we usually use."
