Gila Community College Briefs

Fire science advisory committee invitations

Invitations have gone out to people in Gila County who have expressed an interest in serving on a Fire Science Advisory Committee said Harry Swanson, dean for the Payson campus of Gila Community College.

Swanson said he thinks that membership on the committee will be split evenly between residents of the Rim Country and Globe areas.

He added that because more people have expressed an interest than would make an effective committee, membership may rotate.

Swanson anticipates the committee's first meeting will take place in October.
