Spirit Of Christmas Comes To Payson In Live Musical Drama

The Spirit of Christmas, a live musical drama, sponsored by the Payson Christian Ministerial Association, will be presented Sunday at the Payson High School auditorium.

There will be two performances, a matinee at 2 p.m., and a second show at 6 p.m. Both will be Sunday, Dec. 11. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to help the association with the costs of programs it provides for the Rim Country.

Many of the community churches have congregation members participating in the programs Sunday.

A variety of holiday music will be featured, including:

The songs will be a mix of audience participation and performances by carolers Dan Cobb, Danielle O'Connor, Carol Quigley, Alicia Sexton and Melissa Stoll; soloists Matt Barr, Danielle O'Connor, Eric Santana, Alicia Sexton, Amitie Sexton, Melissa Stoll and Alana Wallace; and vocalists Daniel Conway.

Actors Monica Seville, Ashlee Sexton and Melissa Stoll will perform the dramatic pieces.

Musicians participating in the program include Alana Wallace, piano and keyboard; Isaac Bradford, rhythm guitar; Michael Stoll, lead guitar; Rick Quigley, bass; Kathy Kaufman, keyboards; and Les Barr, drums.
