The Payson Area Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is certified by the department of revenue to offer the State Charitable Tax Credit (CTC). Married couples, who file jointly, may claim up to $300 and individuals may claim $200.
A contribution to PAHH may be claimed in addition to other types of tax credits such as those for public schools (Credit for Kids) or school tuition organizations.
Due to the uniqueness of each person's tax situation, the PAHH office staff is not equipped to help you with CTC details. To obtain further information, please contact your tax adviser about the Charitable Tax Credit (Tax Bill ARS 43-1088). Call the department of revenue at 1-800-352-4090, or visit its Web site at www.revenue.state.az.us (scroll down the left column to Refunds & Credits -- a box appears on the right -- click/select Charitable Tax Credit). To print out a Charitable Tax Credit form, locate Form #321.
Donations may be mailed to PAHH, P.O. Box 1131, Payson, AZ 85547-1131 or delivered to the PAHH office, 1031 S. Goodfellow Road. Christian school donation
Payson Community Christian School (PCCS) participates in the Arizona Christian Schools Tax Organization tax credit program for children.
Since it began in 1998, ACSTO has awarded scholarships to nearly 10,000 students attending 137 Arizona Christian schools. More than 27,000 visionary Arizona taxpayers have made this possible by donating to ACSTO and taking advantage of Arizona's unique opportunity to receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against their Arizona state income tax.
Whether you are a parent looking for ways to afford Christian education for your child, or an Arizona taxpayer looking for new ways to support Christian education, you are invited to check out the program.
The Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit Law, A.R.S. Section 43-1089, allows a married couple filing jointly to make a donation to the ACSTO of up to $825 in 2005 and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit against the taxpayer's Arizona state income tax. A single taxpayer is limited to $500. If the taxpayer has actual Arizona state income tax less than the maximum allowable, the available credit in a given year is limited to the actual tax. The law allows a carry forward for up to five years if a donation is made in excess of the actual state income tax due.
PCCS is located at 213 S. Colcord Road and can be contacted at (928) 474-8050.
